"Infinite Faith in a Finite World, aims to speak to the paradox we live with: our boundless capacity to believe in a world defined by limits."
“This sculpture isn’t an answer; it’s a question made tangible. It challenges you to confront the invisible architecture of your convictions."
Multidisciplinary Artist
LYRA DRAKE
Lyra Drake a philosophical artist who debuted her work to the public during Miami Art week in December, 2024. Her first high-tech sculpture Infinite Faith in a Finite World, sold before the public unveiling on December 2, protecting 3.2 Million acres of Ecuadorian Amazon rainforest in the process. Lyra's practice spans multiple disciplines, often fusing art, sonic resonances, and technology to create immersive experiences.
Born in South Africa, Lyra relocated to the United States in early childhood and was raised in a non-traditional environment by her aunt. Inspired by a diverse community of thinkers, inventors, and artists, Lyra developed a holistic approach to creativity. This eclectic upbringing nurtured her early musical endeavors, which began with writing songs at 13 and progressed to producing music at 17.
As a visual artist, Lyra combines traditional techniques with cutting-edge digital elements, such as painting, photography and sound-generated imagery. In recent years, Lyra embarked on a pioneering endeavor, customizing her own locally deployed, artificial intelligence to engine her large-scale sculptural works. A natural hermit, Lyra engages with her audience through site-specific installations that blur the boundaries between art and reality.

Since her public debut Lyra has had the great honor to work with both institutional and philanthropic partners such as Faena Arts, Art into Acres, the Wyss Foundation, Bezos Earth Fund with an two more exhibitions slated for 2025. Her work has been featured in multiple publications world wide.

"This installation is not just a reflection of my artistic vision," says Lyra, "but a deliberate attempt to spark a global conversation about the role of faith in contemporary society. I want to know: what does it mean to have faith in a world where the lines between reality and illusion are constantly being blurred?"
