"Infinite Faith in a Finite World, aims to speak to the paradox we live with: our boundless capacity to believe in a world defined by limits."

“This sculpture isn’t an answer; it’s a question made tangible. It challenges you to confront the invisible architecture of your convictions."

Multidisciplinary Artist

LYRA DRAKE

Lyra Drake is a multidisciplinary artist and technologist who debuted her work to the public during MiamiArt Basel in December, 2024. Her first high-tech sculpture Infinite Faith in a Finite World, sold before the public unveiling on December 2, protecting 3.2 Million acres of Ecuadorian rainforest in establishing the Tarímat Pujutaí Nunka Reserve with Art into Acres. Her first exhibit generated 258M organic media impressions and was extended due to popular demand. Lyra has had six exhibitions across three countries in under a year, including June 2025 at the Alpina in Gstaad and in July 2025 for the AI for Good Summit in Geneva.

Lyra's practice spans multiple disciplines, often fusing art, sonic resonances, and custom AI systems to create fully immersive experiences, described as "the most interactive art in the world," (Brian Greif, 232AM Projects, "Saving Banksy.")

Born in South Africa, Lyra relocated to the United States in childhood and was raised in a non-traditional environment by her aunt. Inspired by a diverse community of thinkers, inventors, and artists, Lyra developed a holistic approach to creativity. Her eclectic upbringing nurtured early musical endeavors, which began with writing songs and progressed to producing music. Lyra trained in songwriting at NYU and has collaborated with artists such as Rhye on forthcoming musical releases.

As a self-taught visual artist, Lyra combines traditional techniques with cutting-edge digital elements, such as painting, sculpture, photography, and sound-generated imagery. In recent years, Lyra embarked on a pioneering endeavor, customizing her own locally deployed, artificial intelligence systems to power her large-scale sculptural works. A natural hermit, Lyra engages with her audience through site-specific installations that blur the boundaries between art and reality.

Since her public debut Lyra has had the great honor to work with both institutional and philanthropic partners such as Faena Arts, Art into Acres, the Wyss Foundation, Big Green and the Bezos Earth Fund.  Her work has been featured in multiple publications worldwide.

"My work is not just a reflection of my artistic vision," says Lyra, "but a deliberate attempt to spark a global conversation about the role of faith in contemporary society. I want to know: what does it mean to have faith in a world where the lines between reality and illusion are constantly being blurred?"
